Observing relations between generations, I often saw the same drama: when parents have no foundation of their own, they inevitably fall into one of two extremes. Some begin to fawn over their children, fear saying an extra word and play other people's roles — if only not to be lost, if only to be shown even a drop of attention.
Others choose the opposite, even more dangerous path — they become overly active in the life of the young family. Knowing neither the true circumstances nor what is actually happening between two hearts, they intrude with their advice, judgments and orders.
When creating the architecture of the Golden World, I wanted to give the older generation the chance to feel their own inner support again and to sense that they can and should live their own life. This is a closed space of meaning, where a person no longer needs to fawn for attention, nor to assert themselves by interfering in their children's family.
