There comes an age rightly called golden — a time when the children have already grown up, built their own homes and are walking their own path. It would seem this is the moment of long-awaited peace and noble contemplation. But how often it is precisely at this threshold that people lose themselves, trying to keep living the life of their grown children.

The first and unconditional law of a healthy lineage is simple: parents must live separately from the young family. Each generation must have its own roof, its own way of life and its own inviolable territory.
